Our Mission
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Oakland University carries out the mission of the School of Engineering and Computer Science by providing high-quality educational programs designed to equip students with the skills needed for successful careers in this dynamic field.

According to the Michigan HOT 50 Job Outlook, this field is projected to experience the highest growth rate of any engineering profession through 2028.
